Join our sashiko workshop: embellish a denim patch with beautiful running-stitch embroidery! Hosted in-person at our studio space in midtown Toronto.
Location: 1024 Dupont St, Unit 22
Sashiko is a method of fabric reinforcement originating in Japan during the Edo period. In this workshop, Allie Davis (they/them), will help you create a patch to embellish or mend a garment, while giving you some of the historical and cultural context behind indigo dyeing and sashiko. Event will be capped at 10 registrants. Registration deadline: Wednesday 17 September, 11:59pm.
This event takes place on the same day as the Geary Ave Block Party, one block North and running through the afternoon and evening.
